  • Nominations Opened For Maldives Boating Awards 2019

    Maldives Boating Award is an initiative of National Boating Association of Maldives (NBAM) which began in the year 2014 to recognize the strength of boating industry and services rendered by the service providers. Awards are presented to nominees in different categories on various sectors inclusive of standard. Maldives Boating Awards aim to encourage & raise service standards within the Maldivian Boating industry. The National Boating Association of Maldives (NBAM) holds exclusive rights of the Maldives Boating Awards.

    The National Boating Association of Maldives (NBAM) has officially announced that nominations are opened for Maldives Boating Awards 2019. The Maldives Boating Awards judging criteria’s are based upon facilities and service excellence provided by the participant. Size of a service or company is not taken into consideration during the nomination or voting process. In order to proceed with registration, the participant should operate within the Maldivian Boating Industry and service delivery should be within the Maldives. While every nominee has to compulsorily be an active member of National Boating Association of Maldives.

    To participate in the Maldives Boating Awards, participants can self-nominate or be nominated by other parties. Once we receive nominations via document or online, evaluations are carried out by a selected panel of adjudicators appointed by rights holder of the award, National Boating Association of Maldives (NBAM). Following confirmation and official entry, the organizers of Maldives Boating Awards will arrange an official visit or a meeting in Male’ to do a 10 - 15 minutes’ presentation. Whereas professional scoring would be given to the nominee by the panel (70%), apart from the online voting for popular votes which considers 30% for the award.

    Steps to Enter:

    • By filling the participation / nomination application available on website  www.boating.mv 

    • Each Nominee is entitled for maximum of 3 categories each per year. 

    Materials required: 

    a) 10 minutes PowerPoint presentation presenting and covering the nominated category / categories. Please present individually focused on the category nominated. 

    b) Fact sheet of the vessel or service 

    c) Photo CD with minimum 20 (1600 X 1200 px) images 

    d) Videos (optional) 

    e) Nominees must be willing to host/bear all transport costs for judges on request for inspection if required (minimum 5 days’ notice would be given) 

    f ) Applications can be submitted via email to info@boating.mv

    The National Boating Association of Maldives (NBAM) Vice president, Mr. Ismail Hameed stated “Maldives Boating Awards 2019 will be challenging. We have 28 different categories where the stakeholders can nominate maximum 3 categories from each company / business; where professional scoring would be given to the nominee by the judging panel (70%), apart from the online voting for popular votes which considers 30% for the award. Hence, NBAM team is looking forward to have a great event and award the key pioneers in the Marine industry in Maldives.”
